Olympia Tech ("we", "us") respects your privacy. We collect as little as possible, we do not run ads, and we never sell your data. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.

Who we are

Olympia Tech is a tech-industry analysis publication based in the Netherlands. For any privacy question, contact hello@olympiatech.com.

What we collect

• Newsletter: when you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send you the newsletter. Email delivery is handled by Resend, our email provider, acting on our behalf.
• Analytics: with your consent we use Google Analytics to understand which articles resonate. We load it only after you accept the cookie banner, with all advertising features disabled; it is not used to build advertising profiles.
• Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived request logs for security and reliability.

Legal basis

Under the GDPR, we rely on your consent for the newsletter and for any non-essential analytics, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working for basic logs. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. The banner on your first visit lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and your choice is remembered in your browser. Declining does not break the site.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of processors that handle data only on our instructions: Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics (consent-based analytics), and Google Firebase (hosting). We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, which you can do from a link in every email or by contacting us. Analytics data is retained for a limited period and is not used to identify you.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@olympiatech.com and we will respond promptly. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
