We track the biggest machines ever attempted.
Gigawatt campuses, sovereign compute, trillion-yuan grids and data centres in orbit: the race to superintelligence is being fought with concrete, copper and power lines. Olympia Tech follows the money, the megawatts and the physics of those megaprojects, from Europe, with the whole world in view. Opinionated, but earned, and from the summit.
How we read the industry
Signals, implications, opportunities
The same spine runs through every piece. It is the brand's analytical fingerprint.
01
Signals
We start from the concrete: the tender, the filing, the grid connection, the number. What was announced, and what is actually being built.
02
Implications
Then the second-order consequences. Who is affected, what breaks, what the move sets up next. This is where the analysis lives.
03
Opportunities
Finally, the so-what for someone who has to act: where the opening is, who wins and loses, and what to do about it.
Editorial standards
How to hold us to it
- We state a thesis up front, then show the work behind it.
- We separate what happened from what we think it means.
- We are precise about uncertainty: what we know, infer, and predict.
- We separate announced from built, and track the gap between them.
- We date our views and update or correct them openly.
How we track
The rules behind the tracker
The megaproject tracker is only useful if you can trust its numbers. This is how we keep it honest.
Every number has a source
Each figure on the tracker links to the document it came from: the tender, the filing, the company release or the reporting we relied on.
Announced is not built
A status says where a project stands on the ground: planned, building, live or stalling. A press release does not move it; concrete, contracts and grid connections do.
Dated, and rechecked
Every card shows the day we last checked it. Headline figures are as announced or as reported; where we estimate, we say so.
Corrections in the open
When we get something wrong we fix it and say what changed. Spotted an error, or know something we should? Write to hello@olympiatech.com.
The name
Why Olympia Tech
Olympia is the summit, the high vantage point you watch the industry from. The mark reads three ways at once: a delta for change, a peak for that vantage point, and an upward arrow for momentum and the signal of what is next.
